I had such high hopes for myself  last week until my mother had a heart attack.  I spent most of Thursday ~ Saturady in the hospital with her and my sister, Teresa.  She received two stents and two angioplasty.  When you are sitting in the hospital, you eat what is available....  No weight lose.... No exercise.... Back to square one, AGAIN.

I have lost half a pound ~ wow!  So, I am setting a goal for myself ~ 10 pounds ~ six weeks.
There I said it!  I wrote it!  CAN I DO IT?!?
Stay tuned....

Today I'm not going to talk about losing weight.  Today I'm going to tell you about something I am going to do.  Two months from today I plan to do a 5K in Tuscaloosa for my sister, Wanda Kehler, who lives in New Mexico and has breast cancer.

Today I start getting myself ready.

I spoke with her this morning and she was a bit down because her hair has started to fall out.  She has been sick over the weekend.

She is my motivation.

She cut her hair today VERY short.  She did have a couple of things to smile about.  She received cards from our cousin and aunt ALSO she received a very thoughtful box from Jennifer and friends.

Today is my beginning....

Good news! I've lost two pounds.  I have been walking and lifting weights (tiny ones)  Buck still wants to go for ice cream but if I only eat a single scoop cone that isn't as bad as eating a pint of Ben n Jerry's, yes?

Soon I may be able to post a photo...... possibly?

The first Monday in August and here I sit at the library using their computer BECAUSE obviously I have no will power in the wi-fi usage either!  We are over our limit and into the overage charges for the month.
But I digress ~ weigh in was disappointing to say the least.  I thought there would come a time when I could tell you how much I weigh but I don't even want to know, so why would you?
A new month and new challenges for myself:
I am going to tame that ice cream monkey on my back
I am going to walk six days a week
I am going to have a better report next week ....
til then ~ ta

Veteran’s Day in America Buck and Chuck were Navy Seabees,  Their dad was Navy Fleet.  Apparently VERY different.  Had to get some work done...
