December again

Today we had our last Christmas meal with family.
Kim, Skoot, Jakob, and Christopher came for lunch.
We ate, we laughed, we opened gifts,
we played games, we needed a NAP!
Yes there is a SMALL tree in the
middle of this pile of gifts.

Skoot was a sport and modeled
his new hat.
Topher wasn't disappointed with
his "allergy medicine"  the box
does NOT always contain
what it says on the outside
(wink wink)
The boys got some sort of
guns from Lisa ~ little plastic BB's
(it was approved by their parents)
Always like a shot with the guys
We are playing Blokus ~ a strategy
game (I lost every time)
I DID WIN AT SCRABBLE!!
The boys struck a pose before
blowing the head off a zombie target.
It was a good day and now time for that nap!

December Continued

On Sunday, the 22nd, Mother hosted a lunch at Ruby Tuesday for any family members available.  Kim came but Skoot and the boys had to eat quicker and get to Birmingham for a baseball camp.

 Our waitress was Melinda
Mother likes her and we usually sit in her area
She KNOWS that Mother will only eat half her
hamburger so she cuts it and brings half on
the plate and half in a to go box!
Mother with two grandchildren, two grand-in laws,
and four great grands
Archie, Ivey, Lily, and Tanya drove up
from Wetumpka
They planned to visit his dad and
Aimee's fam while in town
Mother wanted a new photo of Buck and me
this lady (who I did not know) decided
she wanted to get in on it
Mother and Archie
(her first grandchild)
Today we went to Lisa's for lunch.  It was enjoyable and we didn't even share any pie with Greyson!

I told Lisa he looks like a little old man
with a walker
He enjoyed opening presents
with a little help from his mom
Those boots are made for WALKING
not chewing!!
A rockin' giraffe ~ I think he likes it!
Granddad, Greyson, and Magra
Three generations of Niblers

Don't stay up too late waiting for Santa....tomorrow we celebrate with Kim and her fam!  I'll be back!

Colorado

I just returned from a visit in Colorado with Jennifer and her family.  The occasion was Emma's birthday.  We also celebrated Christmas while I was there ~ fun times and happy memories.
Jennifer teaches a pre school
class at church and gifted them
with Play doh ~ which we wrapped
(they are ROUND)
We "built" gingerbread houses
Sarah loves the camera
Last year I took a house for each girl
This year I took one for Arie, also.
Precision is the key
Claire and I were proud of our artwork?
Sarah's
Arie's
My "chalet"
Claire just couldn't decide WHEN to stop
Our Jennifer listening to one of the girls
Sarah with their Christmas tree
(ornaments have been known to
rearrange from day to day)
Arie said "if you insist on snapping
my photo at least make it look
natural"
Emma got a rocking ladybug
I think she LIKES it!!
Attended a Daisy Troop meeting with Claire
Emma's birthday dinner choice
Jennifer sat one at each of our places
YUM!?!
Emma enjoyed her birthday cupcake
After Arie smashed her hand into it
she just licked it off and kept eating
(Claire cried when he did this to her
on her first birthday)
Watched Sarah at rock climbing class

It was a wonderful trip and there are more photos.  I had the chance to worship with the Windsor Church of Christ, went to soup supper, laughed at (and with) the girls, played Scrabble with Jennifer (I won 2 out of 3)

Thankfully I left in time to be AHEAD of the flash floods and snow/ice that some of the states I travel through experienced last week.  Yes, I drive!  It is very calming for me.  People are encouraging me to fly next time....we'll see

Veteran’s Day in America Buck and Chuck were Navy Seabees,  Their dad was Navy Fleet.  Apparently VERY different.  Had to get some work done...
