Lunch on Thanksgiving Day

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and Greyson came to town (with his mom, or course)
Granddad was happy to let him sit in
his lap and show off his
"First Turkey Day" shirt
Mother came and got to hold him ~ but not for long
because he is "jumpy" and her hands are not strong.

Teresa brought Jimmy along
(shortly after lunch they left so she could
get some sleep since she works the
11-7 shift)
Greyson had some baby food
Mother sat at the end of the table near Greyson and said she didn't want to sit by him again because he was too distracting and she couldn't enjoy her food because she was so busy watching him! :-)
He looks like he may feel the same way about her
Teresa and I had a sister moment
The surprise of the day??
Lisa has removed her tongue piercing!!!!

Basketball and the new camera

Our anniversary was the 19th of this month and Buck bought himself a GPS.  I got a new camera because I haven't had a camera since last year when I went to Colorado for Emma'a arrival and my camera died!  So.... I took my gift with me to Jakob's basketball game to practice with the zoom and such.  Here is what I came away with.
Warm-up
Pre-game huddle
(do you call it that when it is basketball?)
Kim
Game shot
Move those FEET!!!
Coach time out
Buck doesn't like to sit the whole
game (partly because I yell)
Lined up for free throw
Watching the shot

A Magra's Ramble

Things I didn't know ~ Disposable diapers have a front and a back!!  I learned this after changing Emma and putting one on backwards!

This is the latest in baby food
they can drink it!
This is baby finger food
(who needs Cheerios?)
This is the view of the pool from
the sixth floor of the
Holiday Inn in Panama City Beach

Things I DO know
This is Christopher Martin Wilson
 part of my heart
This is Charles Jakob Wilson
also part of my heart
When you are a grandmother you
sometimes receive perks like this
from your grandson.
Last night was Jakob's last home
game at Lupton  :-(
This is Greyson
the youngest grandchild but
an equal part of my heart

And now you know....

2958.3 miles

I've just returned from a road trip to Windsor, Colorado.  Road trip? Yes!  I enjoy the drive and the reward at the end is WELL worth it.  The REASON I went was to celebrate Claire's 7th birthday.  I think I was the one who got the better gift ~ time with Jennifer and her family.

Claire ~ me ~ Sarah after spending the night at the
hotel where Claire had a swim/birthday party
Sweet Emma showing her first tooth

I also got to be a part of the Walkathon at Windsot Charter Academy.  Both "big" girls attend there and they participated with enthusiasm!  The school raised $13,000.00 dollars!  I went during Claire's turn and managed to make it five rounds with her (she made 10)

check in line

Jennifer, Emma, and I went back for Sarah's turn.  I made two with her, Jennifer made three, and Sarah had a total of 12 laps!  Go girl!!!
Sarah (in hat) didn't wait very long before removing
her jacket and tying it around her waist.
 Claire's jack o lantern
Sarah's jack o lantern
Jennifer's jack o lantern that she used
for her Wednesday night class with the
pumpkin prayer ~ very nice
(I had never heard it)
Jennifer ~ no other caption necessary?
This is Sarah's school project
She has to build a castle and this is what she wants it to look like.  I got to help with some of the smaller buildings.   Can't wait to see the finished product.
We went trick or treating down the streets of Windsor and when one of the girls got tired of wearing their hat ~ Arie took it ~ he makes quite the handsome wizard, yes?

So, my trip took me to Colorado and back and I enjoyed every bit of it.  I was welcomed with love and sent on my way with hugs.  I will return in December for Emma's birthday.  Hoping I can talk Buck into going with me.

Veteran’s Day in America Buck and Chuck were Navy Seabees,  Their dad was Navy Fleet.  Apparently VERY different.  Had to get some work done...
