I missed blogging on Monday because I was having my knee replacement done. Had to stay in the hospital overnight. Buck has been good about helping up and down stairs and brining me coffee. I started physical therapy yesterday....I survived and I didn’t cry.
January is almost over, can you believe it? Buck had a good birthday ~ red velvet cake with ice cream, went out to eat several times, Home Depot cards and money. He wants to buy a band saw and now has the money for it.
I just finished an hour on my knee machine so I think it’s time for a nap.

Good morning!
Today is Martin Luther King Day so no mail. No school today for the kiddos but Jakob is running today. We will go watch at least PART of the day. The meet starts at 8 a.m. and that’s a little early for Buck lately. He usually doesn’t move until 8:30 ~ 9. The meet is in Birmingham so we would need to roll at 6:30 ~ not happenin’.
They are predicting snow for our area tomorrow. No excitement here ~ no children to play with and snow isn’t exactly Buck’s thing. It is our normal grocery shopping day so maybe it will hold off until we can get that done.
Watched Greyson play basketball on Saturday. Buck says he reminds him of Lisa when she was younger and didn’t know what to do out there. It just isn’t his game right now ~ maybe later OR maybe he will be a baseball guy.
I should probably go have some cereal and read my bible.

Well, I let Monday slide by without posting anything here. Yesterday was a Mother day ~ took her some lunch and checked her mail, etc. Today was a doctor day for Buck. We saw his rheumatologist and stopped for lunch before coming back to the house.
I’ve been walking almost every day. I am having a total knee replacement in two weeks. Wouldn’t it be GREAT if I was 50 pounds lighter??? Not going to happen but I can shoot for 10.
Hope you all are having a wonderful new year.... til next week.

Happy New Year! 2018 has arrived ~ tip toe ing in quietly at our house. I have to admit ~ I missed the ball drop ~ yes, I was sleeping!
What do we have this month? Three doctor appointments (none mine), two birthdays (neither mine) and knee replacement surgery (all me).
Resolutions? Nope ~ I start every month with a list ~ not as formidable as a year. Sometimes I carry through and sometimes I fail miserably.
I hope to blog more often this year ~ although blogs seem a little “old school” these days, don’t they? Gotta Instagram it, Facebook it, or Twitter it.... oh for the “good old days” when we talked face to face.
