Springfield, Missouri

Last weekend Buck and I went to Springfield, Missouri to check on his aunt Grace. She had been in the hospital and was moved to a nursing home during the week.
Our trip started out on the "drippy" side
This is Grace in her younger days
This is Grace now. She wasn't happy with her hair
because she usually wears it "permed"
Since we had to leave from time to time so Grace could rest we went to Bass Pro Shop...the original. Buck looked at boat motors and I looked at everything else.
A real LIVE Alligator
with warning signs NOT to throw money
into the water
(there was money in the water)
Big Ugly Fish
gar I think
a family of turtles
And we ate out for every meal! Wow ~ right? We ate at a Shoney's, an IHOP, a Lone Star, more than one McDonalds, a Hunan Buffet. . . just to name a few
We shared a cheesecake
(cloth napkins!!)
On the drive back we saw geese
(yes those little specks are geese)
We crossed the bridge from Arkansas to Tennessee
Turned the corner onto 55 toward Jackson,
Mississippi and saw these lovely
flowering shrubs.
Hudson Carter Wells
born March 1st
no relation to this trip story
but a cute way to end

May Grace R.I.P. she lived a long life and saw many things and could probably tell a lot of stories but now she is at rest and is probably enjoying seeing Granddaddy and Aunt C (I am not going to attempt to spell her name haha). I am so glad I had the chance to meet her and so glad Dad could be with her at the end.

Veteran’s Day in America Buck and Chuck were Navy Seabees,  Their dad was Navy Fleet.  Apparently VERY different.  Had to get some work done...
